Oh Holy Night

This Christmas song “Oh Holy Night” has always been a favorite of mine. Now when the person singing (not me) has a high range and can hit that high note – it just knocks my socks off. I’ve heard many people sing this song and loved so many. Then there are the words, talking about Jesus birth. What is not to love about how our savior was born. There are words though we take for granted… Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace, how perfect is this I ask? And in His name all oppression shall cease * Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name – someone really thought out this one well. What wonderful words about Jesus.

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary soul rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine * Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming * Here come the wise men from Orient land The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend * Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace * Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother * And in His name all oppression shall cease * Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name

I also would like to share this video with you – if you click on the link. This is Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey, they are singing “The Prayer” , I saw this live yesterday and WOW was I just to so touched by it. It was so perfect I actually cried and clapped all at once. They certainly do sing well together, and that is an understatement – talk about getting us in the spirit of the season. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcJ3gP086FI

My Jesus was born….

Luke 2:15-20 The shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

This is the season to be thankful for Jesus coming to save the world. To take on our sins and die for them. I want to spend time reflecting on the sacrifice Jesus gave for us. I don’t ever want to take it for granted. He only lived thirty-three years. My daughter was 6 when I was 33, that’s not long to have and be with your kiddo. I’ve done lot of living since 33. I expect Jesus could have as well but it was His destined time to do His work.

This blog is a labor of love – dedicated to God and all my family and friends who I take a moment to say. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas Sending my love to all

Dear Heavenly Father – Bless each person reading this. Bless their families. Please Give them joy and love this season and let them always remember Jesus is the reason for this and every season. In Jesus Name - Amen
