About me – that’s simple I am a daughter, sister, niece, Mom, Nonnie (Grandma), cousin, friend, sister in Christ. I was not born in Texas, but I’ve spent most of my life here.
Around age 39 I REALLY found my faith. I had said the salvation prayer before, but never pursued a relationship like I should have. I started attending a small group specifically for Single Parents – this was a game changer for me – these people were Church attenders and in the same life stage I was. It clicked. I was asked to take a leadership class and start my own group. Now mind you – I thought she was nuts, but I did it anyways. The man who led the class said, “to be a good Hometeam leader you need ONE THING – heart.” For me that’s all he needed to say, and the rest is History – I became a Hometeam leader for single parents and continued to lead for 6 years. I did this because it fit what I felt like was my purpose on this Earth. Since then I’ve searched and taken every test to seek out what my true God Given purpose is. Everything has pointed to Encourager.
I do believe my God given gift is encouragement, so how do I fit that into my Church experience? How do I fit that into my work environment? How to I fit that in to my every day – walking around – talking to people life? That’s simple, writing.
Here we are - that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
