I did – I won the Lottery!! How much you ask? The whole enchilada! I got the best of the best. I did not win money, I got something better, something eternal, something so wonderful it would take me a lifetime to explain how. God gifted me, He blessed me all those years ago with a person in my life that I could love, be loved by and raise up to be a wonderful person. I never could have imagined when I got pregnant with her but Oh I tell you. She is the best
Psalm 127:3-4 NIV 3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
I do feel like she is my reward, I don’t know what I did that I deserve her … I am NOT complaining one little bit. Nope, I’m so proud.
Psalm 127:3-4 ESV 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children[a] of one's youth.
Gods best gift, that’s a fitting way to describe my daughter. It occurs to me that I dote on my grandchildren and how much I love them. I most certainly do. How could I not love them? They are a part of her.
Psalm 127:3-4 MSG 3-5 Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy? Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you; you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.
She would tell you I was hard on her when she was growing up. That I expected a lot out of her and I did. All I’ve ever wanted is for her to be the best version of herself that she could. I wanted her to grow up understanding that life is a gift and we need to do our best. She took the reins and ran, she dated the right way, she married the right man, she took some time to establish then they started a family, she is a solid team member at her job. There are thousands of ways she is so amazing.
I did, I won the lottery, God picked me of all the people to be her Mom and to get to watch her life unfold in the most glorious ways. I’m so proud of her. Proud really does not do justice to how I feel about her. She is absolutely the best parts of me and her Dad, she is a quality person. Good heart, great morals, excellent intentions, a great wife and an amazing Mommy.
I wish I had sufficient words to say how extraordinary she is.
Lord, Thank You for letting me be her Mom. I am beyond grateful for this precious gift. Amen
What a wonderful acknowledgement and tribute to your sweet daughter.
