Enough

There never has been a doubt in my mind how I feel about you. From the moment I laid eyes on you I have thought a million things including – how much I love you, how much I want for your life – all the good things. I am so very proud of you. I am most grateful you are who you are and how you are. I really am well-pleased with you.

I know I had a hand in molding you but how you’ve become so much more than I imagined is beyond my wildest dreams. I pushed hard, I meant to, I wanted you to be someone who took chances and tried things. I hoped and still hope you would have little fear when it comes to reaching for something you want. I didn’t have the Mommy Manual so I only could do my best and I know that you can understand this now that you are a Mom. I tried my best for you, trying to create in you someone with strength, integrity, talent and drive.

I saw early on that you were not going to be a follower, you were destined to be a leader, I tried to foster that and provide the support you needed to break glass ceilings. I don’t recall ever giving thought to what you could be or I should say do for a living, I felt like that was something you would need to discover on your own. Whatever you decided I would do my best to support you.

The one thing I know I did that helped more than anything else is get us involved in Church. I picked one that allowed us to learn and grow plus get involved and serve others. We gained so much from getting involved. Just think you would might never have met your husband if we had just attended, or if we never started going and kept going. God certainly knew what He was doing there. He was showing you His best love and so was I.

Romans 5:8 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The scripture speaks volumes to who you are, no wonder it is a favorite of yours. You said It means (to you) He loves me in my darkest, this makes me feel hope and loved. Well rest assured that God loves you very much, He is jubilant with you and your family, you have put God first in your lives and He has, does and will reward you for keeping Him in your hearts first and foremost.

I am honored to be your Mom, appreciative to be your friend and gratified to know you. I would be proud of you even if you were not my daughter. I am overjoyed that you are such a caring, giving and incredible person.

There are times in our lives when we might doubt, doubt our skills, doubt our worth, doubt someone’s love or words. In this lifetime you should never doubt that you are more than enough to me. You are and always will be the best thing I’ve ever done. So much more than enough!

Dear Heavenly Father, Today I am thankful. Thankful that You allowed me to be hand chosen to be her Momma, that you gave me the greatest gift as my daughter. Thank You for always watching over her for me and keeping her safe and happy. I pray for all the Moms and daughters out there reading this to have the same feeling of “enough” in Your love and in the love of Mother and Daughter. In Jesus name Amen
